Aaron Ramsey starts for Rangers in their must-win Europa League match against Braga.

The on-loan Juventus star has handed a starting spot by Giovanni van Bronckhorst as the Rangers manager named the team he believes can overturn a one-goal deficit to reach the last four of the competition.

Calvin Bassey and Ryan Jack return to the side after the 4-0 win over St Mirren on Sunday, with Fashion Sakala dropping to the bench and Filip Helander out.

Allan McGregor starts in goals with Borna Barisic, Calvin Bassey, Connor Goldson and captain James Tavernier in defence.

Ryan Jack, Joe Aribo and John Lunstram are in midfield, with Ryan Kent and Ramsey charged with supplying striker Kemar Roofe with chances.

The Rangers substitutes areJon McLaughlin, Robby McCrorie, Leon Balogun, Leon King, Steven Davis, Glen Kamara, James Sands, Scott Arfield, Alex Lowry, Amad Diallo, Scott Wright and Fashion Sakala.

Rangers trail 1-0 from the first leg in Portugal last week and manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst believes his side can turn the tie around in front of a packed Ibrox stadium.

He said: “I have belief in my team because I know what they are capable of. We’ve shown that against big teams in Europe this season.

“We can have a better performance than last week – we need that to go through. We need a top performance as a team, but also individually the players need to be ready.’’
