Glasgow Warriors player Ryan Wilson has been charged with grabbing an opponent's testicles in their European Champions Cup defeat to Northampton Saints.

The loose forward is alleged to have grabbed Saints scrum half Lee Dickson in the 25th minute of the match at Franklin's Gardens.

Under rule 10.4 which covers grabbing or twisting or squeezing of the testicles, Wilson could face a minimum ban of 12 weeks with a mid-range sanction lasting 18 weeks with the high end of the scale ranging from 24 weeks to a maximum of 208.

Citing commissioner Jeff Mark made the complaint with a hearing set for London on January 20.

Northampton won the match 19-15, a result which all but ends Glasgow's hopes of making the next round of the competition.

Wilson's Warriors team-mate Tim Swinson has also been cited for allegedly striking Mikey Haywood with his arm in the 74th minute of the match.
