Andy Halliday and Jason Holt have signed new contracts with Rangers until the summer of 2020, the Scottish Championship club have announced.

The midfield pair have been star performers since joining Mark Warburton's team in the close season.

Holt scored twice in Rangers' crucial 4-2 victory over title rivals Hibernian last month while Halliday has scored five times following his move from Bradford City.

Manager Warburton revealed last week that the Light Blues were close to securing the duo on fresh terms and comes after extending the loan of Gedion Zelalem from Arsenal.

Rangers have made two signings in the January transfer window so far, securing the services of Harry Forrester from Doncaster as well as Polish goalkeeper Maciej Gostomski.

Accrington Stanley duo Josh Windass and Matt Crooks also agreed pre-contract deals to join the Ibrox side this summer.
