Ross County forward Liam Boyce has been named Scottish Premiership Player of the Month for December.

The Northern Ireland forward scored five times in five matches including a hat-trick during the 5-2 victory over Dundee to take the top prize.

Boyce started the month with a goal in the 3-2 loss to St Johnstone before a last-minute strike sealed a 3-1 away triumph against Hamilton.

After failing to find the net against Partick Thistle, the 24-year-old took the match ball home with three goals against Paul Hartley's Dundee.

County ended the month with a 3-2 victory over Kilmarnock as Jim McIntyre's team continued their fine start to the season.

Boyce, who has scored 13 league goals this term, is currently out of action after breaking his hand in training.
