Danny Ward's return to Liverpool appears to have sparked a domino effect through Scottish football as Aberdeen seek to replace their number one keeper.

After winning December's Scottish Championship Player of the Month award Danny Rogers, who is on-loan at Falkirk, has been widely tipped for a return to Pittodrie. However, Aberdeen have now been linked with Rangers keeper Cammy Bell instead.

Meanwhile, across the city, Leeds United have reportedly shown interest in Celtic's Tom Rogic while links to Icelandic striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson emerge again.

Rangers continue to be linked with Toumani Diagouraga and Michael O'Halloran despite their respective clubs not wanting to sell them in the January transfer window.

Ibrox youngster Andy Murdoch, however, has departed the club for the remainder of the season. He has joined Queen of the South on loan.

In Tayside, new signing Darren O'Dea is hoping to make his Dundee debut this weekend but is still awaiting international clearance while across the city goalkeeper Marc McCallum has left Dundee United and looks set to re-join Livingston, this time on a permanent contract.

Meanwhile, in the Highlands Dani Lopez has parted company with Inverness Caley Thistle.
