Falkirk boss Peter Houston and goalkeeper Danny Rogers have won December's Scottish Championship Manager and Player of the Month awards respectively.

The Bairns sit second in the table, three points behind league leaders Rangers and ahead of Hibernian on goal difference.

Houston's side were unbeaten last month, defeating Rangers, Dumbarton and Livingston along with a draw against Hibs.

Rogers, who is on-loan from Aberdeen, conceded just two goals in the four games, keeping two clean sheets.

Their results have kept them in a strong position in the Championship as they challenge for promotion to the top flight.

They face both Hibs and Rangers again before the end of January, at home to the Edinburgh side on the 17th before a trip to Ibrox on the 30th.
