Rangers new signing Harry Forrester says the chance to work with Mark Warburton again was key in his decision to join the club on an initial six month contract.

The 25-year-old worked with the manager when he started his career at Watford and again at Brentford in 2011.

The winger has experienced Scottish football after previously enjoying a spell on loan with Kilmarnock in 2010.

After becoming the club's first January signing he said: "Glasgow Rangers is a huge club, they have won a lot of titles, they are used to success and I wanted to be a part of that.

"I like the way he plays football and I think I will fit in with it.

"His play is intelligent and he has a very direct style so it ticked all the boxes for me to come up here to play."

Forrester hopes he will impress enough at Ibrox to earn an extension onto his contract.
