After being battered by Storm Boelo over the weekend, Scotland is set to be hit by more extreme winds.
Two fresh yellow wind warnings have been issued by the Met Office as the clean-up from the second named storm of the season continues.
Boelo brought severe disruption over the weekend, with 80mph wind gusts, widespread travel cancellations, and flooding.
Police confirmed that a man was killed by a falling tree in Dumfries and Galloway, while two women were injured by another falling tree in Aberfeldy, Perth and Kinross. In Bathgate, two men died after a three-car crash during the storm.
Workers are still trying to restore power to 38,000 homes cut off during the storm, having restored electricity to around 54,000.
Another two weather warnings have now been issued by the Met Office.
When does the latest weather warning come into force?
From 6pm on Monday, Strathclyde will be hit by high winds, including all of Ayrshire, Argyll and Bute, Inverclyde, and Renfrewshire, while Dumfries and Galloway will also be affected by the warning.
A second yellow wind warning, covering much of Scotland, will come into effect from 3am to 9pm on Tuesday.
Strong winds will be accompanied by heavy rain at times, and there could be some disruption.
The Met Office warns that some damage to buildings and trees, such as tiles blown from roofs and large branches or trees blown over, could occur.
Network Rail said the vast majority of our services were back up and running on Monday; however, the West Highland line and Inverness to Thurso/Wick line remain impacted.
It said teams cleared felled trees and debris from tracks and repaired overhead lines, which had disrupted the network.
Further services could now be disrupted by the fresh weather warnings.
There is a chance that further power cuts could occur as SSEN continues to try to reconnect 38,000 homes that were cut off.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency currently has ten flood warnings in place and more could be issued.
Disruption is expected, with fairly widespread gusts of 50 to 60 mph in exposed coastal areas, while the far north of Scotland could see gusts reach 70 mph or more.
The Met Office said: “There is still some uncertainty regarding the peak gusts, but the highest winds are expected in the far north and northwest and most likely over the Hebrides.
“The winds will reduce from the southwest later on Tuesday, with the far north of Scotland the last to see winds ease.”
