Nicola Sturgeon believes humour has a role to play in getting the coronavirus message across – as she retweeted a tongue-in-cheek post from a comedian.

She acknowledged the tweet by Janey Godley who was impersonating the First Minister at one of her government briefings on the disease.

In a humorous tweet posted on Sunday, Sturgeon said she would ‘*never* use language” like that used by Godley in the clip, but said “we could all do with a smile just now”.

The First Minister said on Sunday that social distancing should not be considered optional, adding that public health guidelines are a “set of rules to be followed”.
