Scotland is set to be covered in snow with a yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office for the whole country.
Disruption is set to be brought by heavy snowfall and widespread ice from midnight on Monday.
The warning comes to an end at 11am for those living in the central belt and the southern areas of Scotland.
Network RailHowever, the Highlands and Grampians are due to face another day of snow. The Met Office says there will be between 2cm and 5cm of snowfall, causing significant travel disruption.
The forecasters have warned that some rural communities may be cut off due to the adverse conditions.
This comes as hundreds of schools in northern Scotland were closed on Monday after an amber weather warning caused significant disruption.
Meanwhile, a yellow warning for snow and ice is in place until midnight on Monday for most of the country.
Driving conditions could become “dangerous” and there is a chance of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
Snowploughs are being used to clear railway lines, such as Kintore, Aberdeenshire, as well as further north on the line to Wick.
