iStockA stretch of the A74(M) motorway in South Lanarkshire is closed in both directions following a serious crash between junctions 14 and 15.
Emergency services are currently at the scene after police were called to a report of a two car crash at 4.10pm on Wednesday afternoon.
Traffic Scotland said the road would be closed for several hours and advised motorists to take an alternative route to their destination.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 4.10pm to a report of a two car crash on the M74 near Abington. Emergency services are at the scene and the motorway is closed in both directions.”
