ScotRail has re-launched its half-price ticket scheme for college and university students this week.

The offer will see the train operator slash prices on off-peak tickets by 50% through the spring and Easter period.

College and university students will be able to avail the scheme on ScotRail services between Monday, March 27 and Sunday, April 30.

Available on all off-peak tickets, except super off-peak day return tickets, customers will have up to one month to use the return on their ticket.

All return trips from discounted tickets must be completed by June 29, 2023.

Students can buy the discounted tickets at staffed ticket offices – or onboard trains – by presenting their student photo ID.

The national rail operator’s Kids for a Quid scheme can also be used in conjunction with this offer.

“With the longer days returning, it’s the perfect time to explore Scotland or take a well-earned break from studies and head into town with friends,” said Claire Dickie, ScotRail’s head of retail.

“Our half-price ticket offer will help students make the most of Spring and Easter.”

Full terms and conditions are available on the ScotRail website here.
