Scotland has recorded 1456 new cases of coronavirus and six deaths in the last 24 hours.
Official statistics show that 474 people were in hospital with the virus yesterday, with 60 people in intensive care.
Just over four million people have been given their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, whilst around 3.1 million have had their second dose.
A date of August 9 has been set for the lifting of the main legal coronavirus restrictions in Scotland.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is set to announce next week whether the country can progress to that stage, but has indicated the she is optimistic that it will be possible.
From Monday, new changes will come into force around travellers into Scotland from the US and EU, with the exception of France.
People travelling to Scotland from those locations, and who are fully vaccinated, will no longer be required to quarantine on arrival.
Health secretary Humza Yousaf on Thursday described the changes as “gradual” and said that the move is in line with the Government’s approach towards lifting Covid-19 restrictions.
