Adobe StockScotch eggs have been pulled from shelves over fears the picnic snack could be contaminated with Salmonella.
The Food Standards Agency issued an alert on Tuesday after the presence of salmonella was found in packs of Wall’s The Classic Scotch Egg.
Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
The Compleat Food Group recalled single and double packs of the product with use by dates of July 2.
Customers have been urged not to eat the scotch eggs and instead return them to your nearest store for a full refund.
