Scotland has recorded 313 new cases of coronavirus but no further deaths in the past 26 hours, according to the latest figures published by the Scottish Government.

It means the death toll under this daily measure – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – remains at 7664.

The Scottish Government said IT issues mean the number of reported cases and tests cover a 26-hour period rather than the usual 24 and data for some NHS boards “may be incomplete” and will be included on Tuesday.

It was also noted that registry offices are now generally closed at weekends.

The figures showed the daily test positivity rate was 2.8%, up from 2% the previous day.

A total of 94 people were in hospital on Sunday with recently confirmed Covid-19 and, of these, five were in intensive care.

So far, 3,121,945 people have received a first dose of a coronavirus vaccination and 1,852,179 have received their second dose.
