Ferry services across Scotland are facing major disruption as CalMac warns customers to check their journey before travelling.
CalMac confirmed that a number of their services were facing disruption due to “adverse weather” on Monday.
Only ten of the 31 services scheduled to set sail are operating with normal services.
Four services that were scheduled to travel from Oban and Ardrossan to Barra, Tirree, Lochboisdale and Campbeltown have been cancelled for the remainder of the day.
A number of other services scheduled are experiencing severe disruption with customers being advised to check the status of their journey before travelling.
A CalMac spokeswoman said: “Due to a forecast of adverse weather, many of our services are liable to disruption or cancellation today.
“Anyone planning to travel is advised to check service status before travelling.”
