A man who died alongside a woman in a three-car crash near Annan has been named.
Emil Tenev, 35, was pronounced dead after the collision on the A75 near Annan at around 6.20am on January 13.
He was driving a Peugeot Boxer van when it crashed with a Nissan Qashqai and a Renault Clio.
Melissa Delaney, 41, from Dumfries, was driving the Nissan. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 49-year-old male driver of the Renault Clio was uninjured.
The road was closed for a number of hours while investigations were carried out and police say enquiries are “ongoing”.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 6.20am, on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, police were called to a report of a crash involving three vehicles on the A75.
“Emergency services attended, however 35-year-old Emil and 41-year-old Melissa Delaney were pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and officers continue to appeal for witnesses.”
