A man has died and two children have been injured in a crash in the Scottish Borders.
The 23-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene on the A7 near Heriot shortly after 12.40pm on Sunday, October 29.
The collision, involving a black Audi A3 and black Range Rover, also resulted in a 15-year-old girl and nine-year-old boy sustaining injuries.
Both were taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Edinburgh for treatment.
The 45-year-old driver of the Range Rover was also rushed to hospital in the capital following the incident.
The road was closed for several hours after the crash while an initial probe was carried out.
Sergeant David Waddell said: “We are in the process of establishing the full circumstances and I would ask any members of the public who have not spoken to us yet to contact us, any small piece of information could prove significant.
“I would also appeal to anyone with dash cams or home recording equipment to check their footage as it could assist us in our investigation.”
