A man has died in hospital two weeks after a multi-vehicle crash on the A7 in the Scottish Borders.
Emergency services were called to the road, near Boleside, after a collision involving a white Range Rover Evoque, a silver Vauxhall Insignia and a yellow Iveco Daily van, at around 9.40am on Monday, September 23.
A 74-year-old man and 72-year-old woman, the driver and passenger of the Vauxhall Insignia, and the driver of the Range Rover, a 41-year-old woman, were taken to hospital.
The man was pronounced dead in hospital on Monday as a result of the accident.
Police closed while enquiries were carried out and later reopened it at around 12.50pm.
Sergeant Jamie Humpage said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends at this very difficult time.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch if you think you can help.
“I would also appeal for anyone who was driving in the area and who may have dash-cam footage that could assist to contact us.”
