A man has been charged in connection with a crash which resulted in the death of a “wonderful” dad on Christmas Day.

David Buckley, who was riding a motorbike, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 60-year-old was described as a “wonderful dad” by his family.

Mr Buckley’s family said he would be “forever missed” in a statement.

They added: “Our Darling Dave will be forever missed and never forgotten. He was a wonderful father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend to everyone who knew him.

“We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from family and friends during this difficult time. In these tragic circumstances, we kindly request privacy.”

A 73-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the incident.

He has been released and reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
