A man has been charged following the recovery of cocaine with a potential street value of £500,000 in South Lanarkshire.
Officers stopped a vehicle on the M74 near Lesmahagow at around 3.30pm on October 21 as part of an intelligence-led operation.
A 57-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with drug offences.
He is due to appear at Lanark Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Detective Superintendent Craig Willison said: “We will use all the tools available to us to disrupt the illegal supply of drugs in our communities and remove those involved from our streets.
“The public plays a vital role in helping us to do this and I would encourage anyone who has concerns or information relating to drug activity and those involved in cultivation and supply to contact Police Scotland on 101 or to make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
