McDonald’s has reopened drive-thrus in Scotland, leading to big queues at takeaway lanes.
Big Mac fans north of the border have been forced to wait for weeks while the company trialled reopenings in England.
On Tuesday the popular fast-food chain expanded its operations to include Scotland, where 31 drive-thru restaurants have initially reopened.
Six takeaway lanes reopened in Glasgow at 11am on Tuesday, including one at the city’s West End retail park where long queues quickly formed.
It comes after Scotland moved in to ‘Phase One’ of easing lockdown restrictions from the coronavirus pandemic.
McDonald’s plans to reopen all of their drive-thrus by Thursday, although the company is running a reduced menu due to staffing limitations.
