Loganair staff are to be balloted on an enhanced pay offer after union members backed industrial action in “overwhelming” numbers.
Unite balloted more than 60 cabin crew on potential strikes in recent weeks, with members having already rejected a “final” offer from the airline.
This included staff based out of Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, the Isle of Man and Southampton who service flights across the UK and Ireland.
The union says next steps will be decided once members vote on the latest offer.
A Unite spokesperson said: “Unite can confirm that we have received an overwhelming mandate for strike action from our Loganair membership.
“Talks have continued with the company throughout this dispute and progress has been made with a new pay offer being put to the workers for consideration.
“There is a ballot being held on that enhanced offer. We will await the decision of our Loganair membership on this offer before any next steps need to be considered.”
