A juror who was discharged from the Alex Salmond trial will not face further legal action, according to the Crown Office.
The man was removed from the jury on March 23 – the final day – for failing to comply with judge Lady Dorrian’s orders.
A woman was also discharged with good reason on the same day, but that reason was not revealed.
This saw the jurors bench reduced to 13, made up of eight women and five men.
It has now been revealed by the Crown that the man will not face any further action.
A Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service spokeswoman said: “Crown counsel has concluded there should be no further action in relation to this matter.”
Salmond was cleared of 13 charges of sexual assault against nine women at the High Court in Edinburgh.
