Humza Yousaf responds to Elon Musk after post about murdered Scots schoolboy

Humza Yousaf has responded to Elon Musk after a social media post about the murder of Kriss Donald.

On March 15, 2004, the 15-year-old Glasgow schoolboy was abducted by a British Pakistani gang led by Imran Shahid as an act of revenge following an attack on Shahid by a rival gang.

The five men targeted Kriss, despite him having nothing to do with the assault the night before, as an example of a “white boy from the McCulloch Street area”.

The group took the teen to the Clyde Walkway near the Celtic training ground where he was stabbed to death.

The tech billionaire shared a post about Kriss’ murder suggesting that people were unlikely to have heard of the racially motivated killing.

Musk said it was the “first time I’ve heard of this”.

Three suspects, Imran Shahid, Zeeshan Shahid, and Mohammed Faisal Mushtaq, fled to a Pakistani village with the hopes of evading capture due to the lack of an extradition treaty between the UK and Pakistan.

Glasgow Central MP Mohammed Sarwar intervened and struck a one-off deal to ensure the suspects were returned to Scotland.

Former first minister Humza Yousaf, who is embroiled in an ongoing feud with the X owner, responded informing Musk of Sarwar’s efforts.

He wrote: “Let me also be the first to tell you that it was a Scottish-Pakistani MP at the time, Mohammad Sarwar, who travelled to Pakistan to ensure Kriss Donald’s evil killers were extradited back to Scotland to face the full force of the law.”

Daanish Zahid, Imran “Baldy” Shahid, Zeeshan Shahid and Mohammed Faisal Mustaq were found guilty of the racially motivated murder and are serving life in prison.

Zahid Mohammed served two-and-a-half years after pleading guilty abduction, assault and lying to the police
