A weather warning is in place as parts of Scotland are battered by wind and rain on Boxing Day.
Fourteen areas are on flood alert – including much of the west coast – because of persistent and heavy rainfall.
A Met Office yellow ‘be aware’ warning kicked in at 9am and will remain in effect throughout the whole day.
There has already been disruption on public transport, with ScotRail services between Glasgow Central and Ardrossan Harbour suspended, and delays to services between Glasgow Central and Ayr.
Services between Glasgow Central and Largs may be delayed or terminated and started back from Kilwinning.
Meanwhile, the Forth Road Bridge has been closed to high sided vehicles because of high winds.
People have been told to expect difficult driving conditions, while large waves will mean a risk of spray in the west.
As well as travel disruption, there is a risk of homes and businesses being flooded and some interruption to power supplies.
It follows relatively calm conditions in Scotland on Christmas Day.
