A Danish brand famed for its “hygge” inspired homeware has announced it will open three new Scottish locations.
Søstrene Grene revealed their upcoming plans for expansion which includes openings in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow scheduled for later this year.
The family-owned brand currently has over 285 stores worldwide and are aiming to open 500 stores globally by 2027.
Søstrene Grene say their products “proudly” demonstrate the Danish concept of “hygge” through instore experiences and comforting products.
The upcoming Scottish openings will also continue the brand’s roll out their new store model, “Retail for the Senses”, a shopping experience designed to invoke the senses.
The model incorporates a “labyrinth-style store layout with subdued lighting and classical music, the concept creates a relaxing, free-flowing journey for customers”.
The new Scottish locations will be located in Aberdeen’s Bon Accord Shopping Centre, Waverley Market in Edinburgh and Glasgow’s Buchanan Street, joining its already popular store in the St Enoch centre.
The brand offers a curated “budget-friendly” selection of Scandi homewares, soft furnishings, kitchen products, furniture, gifts, crafts and children’s toys including “mini home” products.
Norma Jacob, who runs Søstrene Grene stores across Northern Ireland, southern England and Scotland, said: “Following the success of our current Glasgow store, we are thrilled to announce our Scottish expansion with locations in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and a second in Glasgow.”
