Coronavirus claims lives of two more people in Scotland

Another two people have died after testing positive for Covid-19, the Scottish Government has confirmed.

It takes the death toll among confirmed coronavirus patients to 2472 but, adding suspect cases, the figure stands at 4094.

There have been 26 new confirmed cases of the virus reported in the last 24 hours.

It brings the total number of positive cases reported in the country during the outbreak to 18,130.

A total of 903 people are currently being treated in hospital for confirmed or suspected Covid-19 – of these 14 are in intensive care.
