Scotland has recorded 775 new cases of coronavirus but no further deaths in the last 24 hours, according to latest figures.

Of 20,675 new tests that reported results around 4% returned positive.

That means the daily test positivity rate is up from 3.9% in figure’s released on Friday and 3.4% on Saturday’s.

The lab-confirmed death toll of those who tested positive currently stands at 7677, however figures including suspected Covid-19 deaths recorded by National Records of Scotland suggest the most up-to-date total is more than 10,000.

The Scottish Government figures released on Sunday also confirmed that 3,365,779 Scots have received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, an increase of 19,937 from the day before.
