Citylink are set to offer free travel on their central Scotland services in celebration of their new timetable launch.
The travel company said 10,000 free seats will be available across the Saltire Cross network on Saturday November 26.
The offer is part of Scottish Citylink’s new timetable which covers Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness.
Customers can book online in advance to take advantage of the offer.
The new timetable focuses on delivering more direct journeys with less connections.
In particular, the new services include buses running 24 hours a day between Glasgow, Stirling, Perth, Dundee and Aberdeen.
A new, direct hourly service between Edinburgh to Dundee and Aberdeen has also been introduced as well as a brand new direct route between Edinburgh and Oban.
Simone Smith, Scottish Citylink operations director, said: “Millions of people use our Saltire Cross services every year and we are delighted to be delivering a more connected and direct timetable between six of the country’s most popular cities than ever before.
“We know times are tough financially for our customers, with the cost of living continuing to rise. Our fares offer excellent value at any time, but we wanted to go a step further and offer this amazing free travel day to help celebrate our new timetable and say thanks to our customers for their continued support this year.”
The latest offer comes after Scottish Citylink won the Best Bus Service award as a result of its Six Cities network at the 2022 Scottish Transport Awards.
