Parents across Scotland welcomed some very special packages in the early hours of Christmas Day.
At Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Ameza was born to Beverley Iredia at 1.55am, weighing 7lb 8oz.
Across the city at the Princess Royal Maternity Hospital, a mum who wished to remain anonymous welcomed her newborn baby boy at 1.37am.
And shortly after, at 2.13am, Cheryl Anderson gave birth to a baby girl at 7lb 12oz.
Hayley Keir, from Alva, welcomed her son at 2.14am at Forth Vally Royal Hospital in Larbert. The as-yet unnamed boy is her first child and was born at 7lb 14oz.
Lynzie Bryce delivered a brother for 13-month-old daughter Isla at 3.20am, weighing in at 7lb 8oz.
At Ayrshire Maternity Unit, baby boy Oliver arrived at 00.57am weighing in at 6lb 9oz – to Brooke Heron and Fraser Morrison from Stewarton.

Next to arrive at the unit was baby boy Mario, to parents Cong Hung and Hien Thi Nguyen from Irvine.
Then came a baby girl for Christina and Mark McLean from Ardrossan. Baby Eryn arrived at 10.52am and weighed 8lb and 15 oz.
At the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, parents Hannah and Jack Bowers-Orso welcomed their first baby at 2am.
The baby boy, who is yet to be named, weighed in at 6lb 4oz when he arrived three weeks early to make the Christmas morning appearance.
Alan SimpsonMum Hannah said: “It was an extraordinary surprise and it all happened so fast, but happily we were all prepared. We just can’t wait to get to know him.”
And at 2.31am, Hannah Quinn and Kerr Smith from Edinburgh welcomed their first baby into the world.
Their baby girl, who is yet to be named, weighed in at 6lb 4oz when she arrived at St John’s Hospital, Livingston.
The parents were hoping to make it home in time for Christmas dinner with their new addition.
Mum Hannah said: “She is the best Christmas present anyone could ask for. It all went so well and we are so happy.”
