A 15-year-old boy is among four people who died in incidents on Scotland’s hottest day of the year.
Emergency crews and a police helicopter were called to the River Kelvin near Maryhill Road in Glasgow on Saturday after receiving reports of a person in the water at around 6.40pm.
The body of a 15-year-old was recovered around five hours later.
Police Scotland said inquiries into his death were ongoing, though it is not being treated as suspicious.
A 39-year-old man was also found dead in the River Tyne in East Lothian on Saturday morning.
A police spokesperson said the family of the man had been notified and that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A woman died after falling near the Campsie Glen waterfalls, north of Glasgow.
Emergency services were alerted at around 12.35pm on Saturday, and a 63-year-old woman was pronounced dead near the car park.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
On Saturday night, a man was pulled from Loch Lomond in a major rescue operation.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene near Ardvorlich at around 10.30pm after police received a report of a concern for a man.
Loch Lomond Rescue Boat (LLRB) was also called by the Scottish Ambulance Service to attend the incident on a beach between Inveruglas and Ardlui.
The 50-year-old was recovered from the water and taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, where he died on Sunday.
Police said enquiries are ongoing into his death, though there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
First Minister John Swinney posted on X: “The loss of life in incidents over the weekend in Scotland has been heartbreaking.
“I extend my sympathies to everyone affected and urge that care be taken when we are all enjoying the outdoors in good weather.”

Temperatures hit new heights across Scotland on Saturday.
Aviemore peaked at 31.4C on Saturday, making it Scotland’s warmest day for nearly three years when it hit 31.8C at Aboyne in July 2022.
Saturday was one of just 14 days when the temperature peaked at 31C or over in the last 25 years in Scotland.
