Bottles of premium Scottish water have been recalled by Waitrose after pieces of glass were found.
The supermarket chain issued the alert via the Food Standards Agency on Tuesday for 750ml bottles of Waitrose No1 Deeside Mineral Water and Waitrose No1 Deeside Sparkling Water.
The recall notice was issued due to the possible presence of glass fragments upon opening the bottles.
Bottles with the best before dates of November 2027 and December 2027 are affected, and members of the public are urged not to consume the waters due to the risk.
A Waitrose spokesperson said: “We’re recalling some bottles of our No1 Royal Deeside Mineral Waters as a precaution and are very sorry for the inconvenience.
“Customers are asked not to use the bottles and to take them back to Waitrose or contact us for a full refund.”
