Nicola Sturgeon has spoken to the media for the first time since her arrest as part of the police investigation into the SNP’s finances.
The former First Minister was released without charge following her detention amid Operation Branchform on Sunday, June 11.
She spoke to reporters outside the Glasgow home she shares with former SNP chief executive and husband Peter Murrell – who was also arrested and then released without charge during the investigation.
She told reporters on Sunday that she has done “nothing wrong”, adding: “I’m a human being who is entitled to privacy.”
Sturgeon’s arrest was the third in the police investigation into how £600,000 of funding raised by the SNP for campaigning has been spent.
Last month – before her arrest – she told journalists it was “frustrating” that should cannot provide her version of events.
