First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is set to face questions from MSPs at Holyrood.
The SNP leader will be quizzed a week after Ash Regan resigned as a minister.
Regan said that she could not vote with the Government on its gender recognition reform legislation.
On Wednesday, deputy first minister John Swinney set out a further £615 in budget cuts.
He has admitted he faces “very hard choices” ahead of setting out the Scottish Budget in December.
