Humza Yousaf faces FMQs as Sturgeon appears before Covid Inquiry

The First Minister will face questions from opposition MSPs on Thursday.

Humza Yousaf will face questions from opponents at Holyrood while his predecessor appears before the UK Covid Inquiry.

It comes after the Scottish Conservative top team was reshuffled, with the former education and justice spokesmen replaced.

Jamie Greene has been replaced at justice with Russell Findlay and Liam Kerr takes over from Stephen Kerr in the education brief.

Nicola Sturgeon and John Swinney are giving evidence at the UK’s Covid inquiry on Wednesday.

Sturgeon, who stood down as first minister earlier this year and the former deputy first minister, will be quizzed about their handling of the pandemic.

In an exclusive interview with STV, Police Scotland‘s outgoing chief constable says it’s “absolutely outrageous” to suggest the former first minister was tipped off about the arrest of her husband.

On Wednesday, Stewart Hosie has become the fifth SNP MP to announce that he will stand down at the next UK general election.
