Keir Starmer will face questions from the opposition just days after Wes Streeting resigned as health secretary.
In a scathing resignation letter sent last week, Streeting said it had become “clear” that Starmer would not lead the party into the next general election.
He accused the Prime Minister of lacking direction and failing to take responsibility for poor local election results while describing the success of Reform as an “existential threat to the future integrity”.
Streeting has confirmed he will stand in any Labour leadership race to replace the Prime Minister.
In his speech, Streeting warned that Labour will be “the handmaidens of Nigel Farage and the breakup of the United Kingdom” unless it changes course.
Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham was also given the go-ahead to run in the Makerfield by-election by Labour Party’s ruling body, paving his way to mount his own leadership challenge against Starmer.
Prime Minister’s Questions will begin at midday on Wednesday.
