Scottish Conservatives leader Douglas Ross has tested negative for Covid-19.
It comes after Ross received a text on Wednesday morning informing him that a close contact had returned a positive test.
Since receiving the message, Ross has been self-isolating as a precaution at a hotel in Edinburgh.
The Scottish Conservatives confirmed that Ross will voluntarily continue to do so until Thursday, June 10.
All of the party’s MSPs and staff who took tests have also tested negative.
A spokesman said: “Douglas Ross has tested negative for Covid, as have all Scottish Conservative MSPs and staff who took a test as a precaution.
“Douglas will continue to voluntarily self-isolate as a precaution until Thursday, June 10.”
