InstagramIan Murray MP has announced the birth of his second child.
Baby Lois arrived on Monday morning at 7.48am, weighing 3.5kg.
The Scottish secretary made the announcement on his Instagram, describing his second daughter as a “bundle of joy”.
He praised his wife Mariam for being “absolutely amazing”.
It comes just days after Murray announced he would be the first member of the UK Cabinet to take full paternity leave.
The Edinburgh South Labour MP had said he hopes the move will encourage other fathers to take the time off they are legally entitled to.
