Rishi Sunak is set to face a grilling over public sector pay at Prime Minister’s Questions this afternoon.
Ministers agreed to reopen “intensive talks” with nurses on pay and conditions after the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) suspended a 48-hour strike in England and Wales while the union considers returning to the negotiating table for talks.
It is reported that meeting could include a possible compromise on this year’s already-decided pay award.
