Rishi Sunak faces PMQs as Supreme Court blocks Rwanda plan

It will be the first time the Prime Minister faces MPs' questions since sacking Suella Braverman.

Rishi Sunak is facing PMQs just hours after the Supreme Court blocked the UK Government’s plans to send asylum seekers to Rwanda.

The flagship policy was part of the Prime Minister’s “stop the boats” promise and among his five key pledges.

On Wednesday morning judges unanimously ruled that the deportation proposals were unlawful.

The Prime Minister will also face questions from MPs for the first time since sacking Suella Braverman as home secretary.

She was replaced by foreign secretary James Cleverly, who was in turn replaced by former prime minister David Cameron.

Braverman went on to attack Sunak accusing him of betrayal and saying he has no mandate to govern.
