Rishi Sunak faces PMQs amid Elgin Marbles row

The Prime Minister could also see questions over record-high net migration levels in the UK.

Rishi Sunak is facing MPs’ questions at PMQs amid a row over his last-minute cancellation of a meeting with the Greek Prime Minister.

The UK leader was set to meet Kyriakos Mitsotakis earlier this week but that was scrapped after he publicly discussed the return of the Parthenon Sculptures, also known as the Elgin Marbles.

Downing Street said the Greek PM broke a promise not to publicly discuss the issue.

Labour described the row as “petty” and “small-minded”.

It also comes a week it was revealed that net migration figures reached a record high 745,000 last year.

The Prime Minister has already faced questions from within his own party, including his former home secretary Suella Braverman, about the high levels of migration.
