Humza Yousaf is answering FMQs ahead of an official statement on a Scottish XL bully ban.
The First Minister announced last week that Scotland would follow England and Wales in prohibiting the breed.
The SNP leader said he wanted to prevent the country from becoming a “dumping ground” for the pets amid reports the animals were being rehomed north of the border.
The details of the ban on unlicensed XL bully dogs, alongside a confirmation of the date of the prohibition, will be announced during a ministerial statement at around 3pm in parliament.
