Humza Yousaf faces Holyrood grilling at First Minister's Questions

The FM could come under fire for controversial plans to usher Ferguson Marine back in to private hands 'as soon as possible'.

Humza Yousaf is set to face questions at Holyrood for the first time since attending the coronation of King Charles.

The First Minister could come under pressure over Ferguson Marine after economy and fair work minister Neil Gray claimed long-term plans for the state-owned shipyard were to hand it back into private ownership.

The Port Glasgow facility was nationalised by the SNP government in 2019 amid a long-running delay to the construction of two CalMac ferries.

Four years on, the ferries remain unbuilt and Gray’s suggestion over its future was met with derision from opponents.

The FM will also likely face questions over highly protected marine areas (HPMAs) after a Liberal Democrat MP asked the UK Government to step in on the controversial proposals.
