Live: Yousaf faces FMQs in wake of damning Police Scotland report

The force's outgoing chief constable said that 'institutional racism, sexism, misogyny and discrimination' were a reality for Police Scotland.

Humza Yousaf will face questions over the state of Police Scotland when he faces opponents at Holyrood.

The chief constable of the national force admitted it was institutionally racist, sexist and discriminatory in a damning new report.

Sir Iain Livingstone said it was “right to clearly state that institutional racism, sexism, misogyny and discrimination is a reality for Police Scotland” following a number of high-profile cases.

Scotland’s top police officer made the comments at a meeting of the Scottish Police Authority on Thursday morning.

Yousaf will also likely be quizzed on a recent YouGov poll showing falling support for the SNP among the voting public.

The party would receive 41% of the vote in an immediate Westminster election, according to data from YouGov published earlier this week in the wake of Nicola Sturgeon’s resignation and police investigation into its finances.

However, the same poll still put the SNP 12% ahead of Scottish Labour and 25% ahead of the Conservatives.
