A woman’s death is being treated as “unexplained” after police cordoned off a road in Aberdeen.

Officers were called the to the scene in the Howes Road area of Bucksburn around 12.45pm on Saturday.

The death is being treated as “unexplained” but police said they do not believe there are any “suspicious” circumstances invovled.

The force cordoned off the road for a number of hours and Scottish Fire and Rescue Services were in attendance.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.45pm on Saturday, March 16, 2024, police were called to the Howes Road area of Bucksburn, Aberdeen, following the sudden death of a woman.

“The death is being treated as unexplained, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”

Scottish Fire and Rescue Services has been contacted for comment.
