A woman who died in a house fire in Aberdeenshire has been identified one week after human remains were discovered.
Emergency services were called to the blaze near Harbour Road in Gardenstown shortly before 5am on September 18.
Four fire engines were sent to the scene, and one man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
One woman, who was thought to be in the building, was unaccounted for.

Last week, Police Scotland confirmed that human remains were recovered from the property after a five-day search.
On Tuesday, officers said the remains had been formally identified as the woman within the property. Her family have been informed.
Police say enquiries in a joint investigation with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been carried out and the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
A Police Scotland statement read: “We were made aware of a fire at a property in the Seatown area of Gardenstown around 5am on Thursday, September 18, 2025.
“Human remains were later recovered from the property on Tuesday, September 23.
“Formal identification has now taken place and the family of the woman who was within the property have been informed.
“One man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“Enquiries have been carried out and the fire is not being treated as suspicious.”
