A woman whose body was discovered following a flat fire in Dundee has been named by police.
Emergency services were called to a flat in the Byron Street area at around 7.25am on Friday morning.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene, and the blaze was extinguished.
The body of Natalie Egan, 37, was found within. Her family have been informed, and they are being provided with support by specially trained officers.
Following a post-mortem examination, her death is being treated as murder.
On Sunday, officers confirmed a 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death.
He is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday, November 3.
