A woman has been taken to hospital after an incident outside an ice cream shop in Kinross.

Emergency services received reports of concern for a person in the Sands House area at around 7am on Monday morning.

Images of the scene show the entrance of Giacopazzi’s ice cream and convenience store taped off by police.

An investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7am on Monday, September 7, we received a report of a concern for a person at a premises in the Sands House area of Kinross.

“Emergency services attended and a 44-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
