A woman has been taken to hospital after being was knocked down by a car in Aberdeen.

Emergency services were called to Whinhill Road in Aberdeen on Friday morning following reports of a collision involving a vehicle and female pedestrian at around 11.20am.

The woman was transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment following the incident. Her condition is not known.

Officers have closed the road as they investigate the crash.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.20am on Friday, December 6, 2024, we were called to a report of a crash involving a car and a female pedestrian on Whinhill Road at Fonthill Terrace, Aberdeen.

“Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

“The road is closed and enquiries are ongoing.”
